I don’t know if any of you who are video editors have ever thought about this question: Why does film editing always about “cutting sequence”, but not the frame itself?
Tracey Fragments (English: The Tracey Fragments) is a 2007 Canadian film adapted from Maureen Medved's best-selling critical novel. The story roughly tells the story of a girl who was bullied at school and whose family was broken up and ran away from home. The broken editing method allows the audience to better feel the confusion and hesitation of adolescence.
Just looking at the screenshots, it’s hard to feel how “shattered” the editing of this work is and how fully integrated it is into its plot. I recommend watching it to feel its charm!
